The Carpenters Cup

Just for everyone's piece of mind, all the Valentines day items (candy, and cookie bouquets) will be individually bagged to be respectful of Covid precautions.

We have another need if anyone can help. We were contacted today about a lady in Adrian needing a recliner. She lives alone on a fixed income and has cancer. As her cancer is progressing, she finds she needs to sleep in a reclining position to facilitate breathing. She can't sleep in her bed very well anymore. Can anyone help? Prayfully consider. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for someway to help your neighbor, let us give you some suggestions. Replenish daily the blessing box outside the Carpenters Cup. Example: yesterday, a lady brought two boxes of non-perishable foods, canned goods, pasta's, cereal, ready snacks and placed them on the table ou...tside the blessing box. This morning, both boxes were gone. The Carpenters Cup is offering a hot meal for anyone needing a meal. Yesterday, it was ham, beans and cornbread. If you want to bring in some food for distribution, we will give it away. If you want to bring in money donations so we can buy the food, we will use it. The blessings box is for more than food. You can place personal care items, soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, gloves, hats, socks, blankets. The money the Project Hand Up has received in the past is gone. It was used to pay electric bills, rent, propane, cell phone bills, many blankets, socks, gloves, hats, space heaters, bus tickets, etc. With this extreme bitter cold, we have to watch out for not only the animals, but also our fellow neighbors. Getting ready for Valentines Day! Christ, coffee, and chocolate! Nothing better!

We are sharing our lunches with anyone that needs a hot meal. Today, we had ham, beans and cornbread. We may not have much, but we will share. It's too cold for someone not to have a hot meal.

Help please! A family has made contact with us following a house fire. The contents of the home was lost, but the greatest tragedy was the loss of their 3rd child, a young baby. They lost everything and are currently staying with family here in Butler. Their needs are as follows: Dad wears large pants and shirts. Mom wears medium shirts and leggings, but large sweat pants (she does not care for jeans). Toddler boy wears 4-5T shirts and pants, needs a coat, gloves, socks and shoes (size 3). Toddler girl wears 5T shirts and pants. 5T coat and shoes size 3-4. They need personal care items and toiletries. If you can help with any of these items or a money donation, please contact us at 660-679-3333 or bring your gift in and we will pass them on. We need to also be in prayer for this family for the loss of their child.
