The Flick Theatre

July Update As of right now, with the craziness of COVID-19, still a present part of our wonderful community. We are going to REMAIN CLOSED. We have talked about this at length and have decided at this time it is what is best for us as a business and for our community. ... As a nurse, COVID-19 is still very much present. I'm sick of wearing masks and avoiding crowds just as many of you are. I'm ready for life to get back to some sort of normal for myself and my family. However opening to the public will only encourage crowds and social distancing will be almost impossible within the theatre. Movies are not being released at this time either. I have attached the beginning statement from my bookers weekly update. Production companies are pulling titles left and right and pushing them back even into next summer. Please continue to bear with us. We will open our doors back and we cannot wait to have all of you back in the theatre!!!

COVID-19 is proving to be the most evil illness for small businesses. We got news today that Disney has decided to push back its opening again for Mulan to August 21. The majority of the big movie production companies are following suit as well. We would love to get our patrons back into the theatre. However we are using this time to do some inside and outside work on the theatre, that has been very much needed. ... While we were closed the last couple of weeks for some "old building issues" we also had a water pipe burst, causing some flooding. So we are repairing those issues as well. Please continue to bear with us through this time as we try to maintain a fun place for families!! We will post on here as soon as we have a date to reopen. Thank you to everyone for their continued support through this rough time for our small business!!!

Unfortunately we are having some issues inside the building at this time. We will not be opening for popcorn until we are able to get everything inside repaired and cleaned. Please bear with us. Our hopes are to reopen to show movies on July 24. Fingers Crossed we will be able to open with Mulan. Old buildings are just that OLD. Lots of upkeep to maintain the capability to bring reasonably priced entertainment for you and your families!!! Don’t forget form 5-8pm tonight we will be selling popcorn at the flick!! The lobby will be open for sales due to the rain.

At this time the theatre will remain closed for movies. The production companies have halted movie releases until mid July. Therefore no new titles are being released. We could open and show some retro titles but are afraid that we will not be able to stay busy enough to do this. We also have an opportunity right now to do some possibly improvements to the inside of the theatre. So we are looking into that before opening back up to the public. ... Bear with us we are just as anxious to open our doors back as our wonderful patrons are to get back into the theatre to watch movies. However we are going to start by opening our walk up window on Main Street Friday May 15 from 5-8pm for concession sales!!! We will be selling POPCORN!!!!! We know you guys love it and we want to offer it so you can take it home and enjoy some family movie nights with Flick Popcorn!!
