When I was a teenager, my first boss was a veteran of World War II and was injured in the Battle of the Bulge. He didn't like to talk about the war, but I am a history buff so I had a lot of questions for him. Once or twice he loosened up and told me some stories. If you think war is bad, you're wrong. War is horrific. What he went through when he was just a few years older than me at the time was astounding. He didn't die in the war, but a part of him did die on the battlefields of Europe and he kept that part locked up inside him, along with the shrapnel he carried the rest of his life. He is gone now, but I will never forget him. Thank you Mr. M for your service which cost you more than I will ever know.

Nursing home residents are dying from COVID-19 mainly because of bad policies, poor training and owners who purposefully under staff facilities for their own personal financial gain. In NY government was also a huge problem.
