Three things to keep in mind when hiring a wedding photographer I get it, hiring a wedding photographer can be tough! You need to be able to trust your wedding photographer to document one of the most important days of your life. Here’s what you will want to keep in mind: 1. You want to love their posed and candid photos! A lot of times, photographers mostly post posed photos on their social media. Ask your photographer for a full gallery so you can see both.... 2. Make sure you click with them. You want to like their personality, share their values, and make sure they’re a nice person! It sounds simple, but it’s so important. 3. Ask them about their backup processes and backup gear. Your wedding photographer should have at least two cameras and have at least one backup method (if not multiple!) for your photos. We all know technology fails sometimes and they should prioritize keeping your memories safe. What questions do you have about hiring a wedding photographer? Drop them below and I’ll answer them! - - - #loveislove #loveisloveislove #winterwedding #snowywedding #snowday #winterweddingideas #snoweddingideas #samesexwedding #twobrides #twobridesarebetterthanone #engayged #missouriweddingphotographer #lgbtphotographer #lgbtq #lgbtweddingphotographer #lesbianwedding #wlw #queerwedding #samesexweddingphotographer #lesbiancouple #queercouple #mrsandmrs #equallywed #dancingwithher #weddingplanningtips #weddingplanning #weddingphotoideas #stlouisweddingphotographer #stlouisphotographer #stlweddingphotographer

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovebirds I have the greatest job in the world - getting to document love like this. I wish I could’ve included all of my amazing couples, but IG only lets me pick 10 photos. But know you all means so much to me. However you’re celebrating, I hope you feel the love today ... - - - #valentinesday2021 #happyvalentinesday #valentinesday #loveisloveislove #inclusivephotographer #lgbtphotographer #lgbtweddingphotographer #engagedlife #engayged #stlouisphotographer #stlphotographer #loveislove #lovebirds #couplegoals #isaidyes #bestjobever See more

My travel schedule is posted in my highlights! I have posted the dates I will be traveling in 2021 so far. If you’re in any of these areas and wanting to book a session or elopement while I’m there, let’s do it! No travel fees Most of these dates are flexible, so if you’re wanting to do it 1-2 days before or after the dates on that travel schedule, we can likely arrange that.... Can’t wait to meet so many amazing people in new places this year - - - #stlouiswedding #stlwedding #stlouisweddingphotographer #stlweddingphotographer #stlouisweddingvenue #stl #stlouis #stlouisphotographer #stlphotographer #missouriphotographer #missouriweddingphotographer #weddingrecpetion #couplegoals #travel #wanderlust #2021travel

How did you do it? How can I do it? Those are questions I’ve gotten in my inboxes since I put it out into the world that I’m going full-time with entrepreneurship. Here’s the truth: ... There are no corners to cut. You can’t do it without a hell of a lot of hard work. You’ve got to spend time and energy into perfecting your craft, whatever that is. You’ll make mistakes that make you want to give up. Keep going anyway. If you’ve got a 9-5, you’ll have to work nonstop. Build in a few breaks, but honestly, you’ve got to grind from 9-5 at one job and then 6-10 and weekends at the other. Work through college. Work through grad school. Work through moves to new homes and even on vacations when necessary. Work on your mindset. Act like you’ve already arrived. Remember that you’re more than a photographer, or a makeup artist, or a musician. You’re a business OWNER. Manifest. You’ve got what it takes. Invest time, money, and energy into your education. Speaking of money, save it up. Spend like you’ve got one job, not two. Say your thank you’s to your higher power, and recognize the privilege you have that helped you get here. Put yourself out there and expect to be rejected sometimes. Take no one’s shit, not even your own. You’re your own boss, after all. Find ways to be deeply restful. You may not have a lot of time for rest, but when you do, rest hard. Build a supportive network. Communicate with your friends and family where your focus has to be right now. Some of this might surprise you or not sound fun. It isn’t always fun, but to me, it’s so worth it. I worked my ass off for years and sacrificed a lot to get here. And you can do it to, if you want to. I believe in you. - - - #manifest #mindset #workhardstayhumble #lgbtq #femaleentrepreneur #smallbizowner #lgbtphotographer #lgbtblogger #lgbtinfluencer #gayphotographer #bisexual #stlouisphotographer #stlphotographer #stlouisweddingphotographer #stlweddingphotographer #stl #stlouis #womanownedbusiness #lgbtq #lgbtpride
