We're sure you're wondering, "What's next for Talking Horse?" To be perfectly truthful, we don't know. This year has presented plenty of challenges and we've adapted as best as we could to create new opportunities in-line with our mission of bringing the best contemporary theatre to mid-Missouri. We moved from plan A to B, B to C, and on down the line til this point, plan Double-Y. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for our audiences and volunteers, we will not resum...e normal operation until it is safe to once again do so. That means our 2021 season remains in flux. At this time, we plan to produce "ebaby" by Jane Cafarella in February. We've purchased a license to record the show and we'd love to get it to our patrons. Sadly, not all of our selections have as simple a licensing process, so many productions may have to be adjusted. We're currently in discussions with creators around mid-Missouri to produce classic and original content so stay tuned! We also hope to create another round for our Original Monologue Contest, so to all our writers: start thinking! 2021 may be a wild year but we remain forever grateful for the support of our community. We look forward to entertaining you in the days to come!

Today is Giving Tuesday and Talking Horse Productions would be grateful for your donation. This year has been exceptionally challenging but we have been blown away and humbled by the support we've received from our friends, family, and theatre-lovers alike. We had some grand plans for 2020 that unfortunately weren't able to come to fruition, but we've learned, and grown, and continue to develop. Henri Matisse said, "Creativity take courage." This year, we've embraced that f...ully. We put on outdoor shows, put on productions over Zoom, developed brand new projects like our Original Monologue Contest, and through determination, hard-work, and a ton of patience, we continued our tradition of producing the Starting Gate New Play Festival. We don't know what challenges await us in 2021, or when we'll be able to return to normal operation, but we stand with courage to provide art to our community.
