Together, we dance. Together, we learn. Together, we are strengthened for tomorrow. TeamEXCEL! honors the voice of Kerry James Marshall, reflected in his work, Memento #5. Art speaks: hearts - be moved.

Arts learning is a gift that keeps on giving over a lifetime. This is why we dance in schools. Thank you Edutopia for reminding us that in a well-rounded education, the arts are placed on equal footing with all other academic pursuits.

We're so proud of our students at Hartman! They were bright stars yesterday at our Bold Moves Assembly! At Take the Stage, our teaching artists are thrilled to use music and dance as a vehicle to help children discover the power within. Bonus that it all happens during regular school hours! Our Annual Bold Moves Assemblies are one way we celebrate our students' growth through the arts. Thank you to all the many foundations, governmental agencies, businesses and donors who make these transformational experiences possible! Special shoutouts to our season partner, Truman Medical Centers and to Country Club Christian Church for supporting our program and more!

At Take the Stage we had the distinct honor of partnering with the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art for our 2018-19 season. WE ARE GRATEFUL BEYOND MEASURE! As we wrap our year and begin anew, we urge friends of TTS to visit the Nelson-Atkins and the 30 Americans exhibit as it closes this weekend. 30 Americans inspired our year-long exploration of artists and what is revealed about them through their works. Learning about Kerry James Marshall and Kehinde Wiley, we, at Take the St...age, along with our students, will never be the same. 30 Americans. Don't miss this. https://www.facebook.com/nelsonatkins/videos/2315754925353043/
