Feeling a bit bummed because no festival this weekend? So are we BUT we hope you will join us over on the event page for a walk down memory lane!... We might not be able to see each other in person this year but we would love to see your favorite pictures and videos from the last 17 years and hear your favorite stories and memories. Be sure to post everything in the event page below and check back often to see what everyone is sharing! We miss you and will be impatiently waiting for next year
This would be awesome to win!
Happy Birthday!
How awesome is this? A Highland Games documentary! Check it out on Amazon Prime Video. If you watch it be sure to let us know what you thought of it.
After much contemplation and discussion, I am disappointed to announce that due to the continued increase in number of COVID cases, and out of concern for the health and safety of those that travel to participate in our festival, our volunteers, and citizens, we feel it is best to cancel this year’s festival and games. However, we will continue planning for our 18th Annual Southwest Missouri Celtic Heritage Festival and Highland Games to be held September 10 & 11, 2021. Please be safe, can't wait to see you all in 2021!
We are excited to welcome back The Shortleaf Band! The Shortleaf Band was established as a Celtic and Old Time band in 1993, and has been performing at a variety of venues including many Highland Games since that time. Scottish music is at the heart of the music this duet performs, especially focused on the music of the Highlands. ... Michael Fraser performs on fiddle, mandolin and guitar and is proud of his direct lineage to the Fraser Clan around Inverness-Shire. Tenley Hansen is the other half of Shortleaf, and provides wonderful vocals, along with fiddle, guitar, mandolin and occasionally keyboard. The band has been on the Performers roster of the Missouri Arts Council for the past seven years. This is The Shortleaf Band's second year performing at our Festival!
