Over the last few months I have had the privilege of quilting some true heirlooms. Pictured are some all double knit quilts and one containing some feed sack fabric. These quilts were hand pieced by Ann Ingle of Monett. The bed runner features embroidered blocks made by Fredalene Ingle, daughter of Ann, also of Monett. Sisters Rebecca Thomas and Roberta Wormington also of Monett brought me these amazing quilts. Besides the opportunity to quilt these treasures, I greatly e...njoyed sitting on the porch, visiting with these fun ladies! One of the "perks" of quilting for others is the new friends I've made. I have wonderful customers!!!! Enjoy these pictures!!! See more

In the bottom of the bag the same lady had 12 embroidered blocks that her mother had done. Pictured is her vintage bed with the bed scarf we made of her mother's embroidered blocks.

The good thing about this virus is quilters have time to quilt! One of my customers brought me two all polyester quilt tops that her mother had hand pieced. Do you know that polyester seams don't lay down? I didn't either! :-). I understand now why they tied polyester quilt instead of quilting them. But they were beautiful quilts, heirlooms. I have to admit I was a little jealous. Following are pictures of the underneath of the two quilts, the seams and then the quilted to...ps. I used a number 18 needle to quilt them and I didn't have any trouble with the needle going through the layers. I also used my scoop foot. What treasures! I think you will agree. :-) See more
