The long-awaited IPO of the home rental platform comes on the heels of the biggest crisis the travel industry has faced in decades, and a staggering drop in reservations on the platform, which forced the company to lay off a quarter of its workforce. The company was recently valued at $18 billion around half of what it was worth in 2017. The US National All-Property Index gained 7.2% from a year ago and 0.7% from February.Apartment property prices rose 11.0% year-over-year, the fastest rate of growth for this sector since late 2018.
