March 20, 2020 UPDATE: COVID-19 To Our Valued Customers, As of yesterday, the Governor of California issued an executive order to shelter in place or stay at h...ome unless traveling for essential activities and work only. These orders have been put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 by limiting social and public gatherings. There are several conflicting reports circulating. Please note that these orders do not mandate all businesses closing. Essential businesses are exempt in all federal, state, and local government mandates. These exemptions have been adopted from CISA, the Cyber-Infrastructure Security Agency which is part of the US Department of Homeland Security. Our business is clearly covered as essential per the attachment in the link below. https://www.cisa.gov//CISA-Guidance-on-Essential-Critical- Cars, trucks, vans as well as commercial vehicles are essential for obtaining and transporting essential items making their safe operation critical during this time. Because of this fact and what is clearly stated in the latest government orders, all of our locations in California have and will remain open to service our customers in California. We have made some minor changes to comply with safety measures and social distancing outlined by the government’s orders to promote the safety of our employees and our customers. At Mygrant Glass Company, we are taking this very seriously. We will reference here again, the changes we have already made to ensure those government mandates are met. In addition to suspending any unnecessary travel aside from our delivery routes, we have been and are vigilantly doing the following while we monitor the situation. Any employee that feels sick or exhibits symptoms is required to stay home and cannot return to work until symptom free for at least two full consecutive days and permission is granted by their manager. Employees will practice frequent and thorough handwashing throughout the day, and maintain a three to six foot distance from all other people at all times. If an employee is handling glass, accessories, paperwork, pens, tablets, etc., they are required to wear gloves at all times throughout the day. Each employee will be assigned one tablet for the day, which will be sanitized before and after their shift. Customers will not be allowed to touch tablets to sign for product. Our delivery drivers are complying with all company and CDC recommendations. Our management will continue to focus on the safety of our employees and our customers. Our employees have been handling this crisis with coordinated confidence and commitment to ensure that this essential service continues and your glass is available on time. We will continue to stay informed with the facts in order to ensure continuity with the least amount of disruption through this pandemic.
