In May 2020, the SkillUP program, administered by the Southeast Workforce Development Board in the Sikeston Job Center, had the pleasure of working with single-...mother, Natasha. She was looking for full-time employment but with a vehicle in need of a major repair, she worried she wouldn’t have access to the support she needed. The SkillUP program was able to cover the cost of her vehicle’s repair and, with the aid of her case manager, she secured full-time employment in July 2020 as a Material Handler at Do It Best.
