This is the pup who was on the island here on Stockton Lake. Thank you so much to Rescue One for caring for him.
Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you have a safe and blessed day.

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na... #BATWEEK! Millions of bats live in national parks. In fact, more than 45 unique species of bats live in natio...nal parks! They pollinate, eat insects, use echolocation, and fascinate visitors. Some migrate, and some hibernate. Each species is unique, except that they're all facing threats of some type in their environments. Learn more about these wonders of the night at https://www.nps.gov/subjects/bats See more
DO YOU KNOW ME? Our emergency rescue team rescued this dog today that was stranded on an island off of Stockton Lake in Missouri for over 3 weeks. Authories an...d local fisherman were unable to catch him during this time so they contacted us. The area is only accessible by boat so we aren't sure how he got there. He has a green collar but no tags or microchip. Please contact [email protected] to claim this dog. He is appropriately being called Gilligan for now. Last picture is him getting cleaned up by the two Rescue One team members who rescued him. A big thanks to Jim for making sure he got rescued and for giving us a lift in his boat!
You are so a Prickly Pine Cone. No? Maybe a Socially Distant Sea Star? It's time for our annual park service costume generator that is sure to fail and confuse many. Give it a try and let us know what comes up! #FindYourPark #NPSCostume
It's shaping up to be a hot weekend! We hope to see you soon!
Happy 4th of July! : Donna Massey
