Stl Fire on Ice is doing an NHL playoff bracket fundraiser. Due to Covid-19 we haven’t been able to hold our annual fundraisers to help support or team. As we continue to mourn the passing of OFPD Battalion Chief Melvin A. Emge on Thursday, Jan. 9 at the age of 61, we would like to share arrangements for his vis...itation and funeral. Battalion Chief Emge proudly served our community with compassion and dedication for 44 years. He was an esteemed member of IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) Local 2665 and FFAM (Fire Fighters Association of Missouri). Battalion Chief Emge is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Katie and son Tony. Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385. There will be a Uniformed Firefighter walk-through at 7:15 p.m. Casket vigil honors will be afforded during the entire visitation. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 North Main Street, O’Fallon, MO 63366. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in St. Paul, MO. Departments wishing to have apparatus participate in the procession, please contact Battalion Chief Rick Miller at 636-262-6448.

A great turn out for a great event, St. Louis Fire on ice tied SLMPD 10-10. However the real win was we we’re able to raise over $2,000 for officer Langsdorf’s family. Thank you SLMPD for involving us in this event. Until we meet again.

A big thank you to St. Louis Fire On Ice Hockey Team for their generous donation to our Holiday Giving Program! This gift helped provide presents for MCBC campers and their families this holiday season.

One of our own, goalie Shawn Buescher has been involved with children’s burn camp for years. With Shawns help St. Louis Fire on ice was able to make a donation to the Midwest children’s burn camp to help a St. Louis area family with a child who is a burn survivor. The boys won their semi finals game of the Silver division lower bracket. We will play Saturday at 1pm PDT against Las Vegas Police

Tough loss 6-2 against Ventura County Force. The boys will play tonight at 10:30 pm PDT in the semi finals of the Silver lower bracket at City National Arena.

In 1 week we will be in Las Vegas competing in the Vegas 911 Cup

The 2019-2020 season is kicking off on the road for our guys. We are excited to be working with some of our best friends the St. Louis Fire on Ice Hockey Team t...o send a combined team, 7 skaters from each, to Chicago in 2 weeks to take on Level Zero Heroes Hockey to help the Veterans Hockey League raise money for injured veterans. This event means a lot to both teams as each has veterans skating with our teams. This will also be our first time hitting the ice in Chicago! See more

One week from today some of our boys will combine with the St. Louis Fire on Ice Hockey Team to take the ice in Chicago, Illinois at Fifth Third Arena, the practice rink for the Chicago Blackhawks. We will be skating against the Veterans Hockey League to benefit injured veterans.

Story of the day: Jib Street was without a pulse for more than 5 minutes after suffering from sudden cardiac arrest during a hockey game. Thankfully, his guardian angel was on the ice with him and the arena had a defibrillator on hand.
