ATTENTION: We will be hosting Christmas at the Zoo this year during Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday season! We haven't stayed open in the winter or hosted Ch...ristmas events in quite a few years. But, we are going to go for it in 2020! We will be open Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm for Christmas at the Zoo which features Santa's Post Office (thru 12/20), Zoo Lights (evening events only), and Holiday Photo Ops. There will also be several limited ticketed events at various dates and times for you to attend such as: Star Theme w/Live Nativity Scene Christmas Family Vacation Event w/Lila our Baby Lemur The Grinch Christmas w/The Grinch & Cindy Lou Who Frozen Party w/Anna, Elsa, & Olaf Storytime with Mrs. Claus & Lila our Baby Lemur! Photos with Santa & Lila our Baby Lemur! We have posted a Facebook event page on EACH of the events that we are hosting. The tickets for these themed events MUST be purchased ONLINE ONLY thru our Facebook Event pages or our website. Don't wait too long to purchase tickets as our Christmas Zoo Train Events SOLD OUT in less than 2 days back in the Fall! Season Pass holders are FREE for any of these events - just need to message me with event and number of season pass holders attending the event. Please note that these events will be held in some of our outside areas and main barn which are not heated. We will have a few space heaters in the barn to take off the chill if necessary. Ticketed events will be held rain or shine. Event tickets are non-refundable and events will be rescheduled if canceled due to winter weather. Weather cancellations and rescheduling will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Some of the animals such as reptiles & birds may be off display during the winter months due to colder temperatures or winter weather but, there will be plenty of animals to pet & feed! What a fun Halloween! Egg hunt early in the day for kids, Halloween Express with lots of great costumes and candy, pumpkin carving in the afternoon and a blast on the Haunted Train ride at night.

Some excitement on the Train Saturday. At the end of the Train ride, Luke Smith, a long-time volunteer from Paducah, Kentucky, got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Korrena. She said "yes" so he put the ring on her finger. Such a wonderful occasion!
