WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?! So many concerned parents, athletes, and citizens who are supporting the St. Louis Sports Covid-19 Coalition are wanting to DO somethi...ng! Here's a fun and effective idea (thank you Mark Reardon of KMOX for leading this charge). Write an email, (add your full name and address or they won't read it). SUBMIT IT ANYTIME AFTER MIDNIGHT (must be sent day of the meeting). Write no more than 400 words to the County Council Supporting Council Bills 151 and 152. These are bills that limit the executive power of Sam Page (or any future County Executive after August 4th) from making unfounded and indefinite executive orders and edicts without the due-process of creating laws. Mention the Bills, mention this unjust shutdown of youth sports. Give them a few minutes of your thoughts! The poor clerk might be reading emails for 3 hours! FLOOD the council with the clear message REOPEN YOUTH SPORTS or Give Us Facts for the Shutdown. The email to send it to is: [email protected] Thanks for your support. 72 hours and counting (5pm Thursday) for the County to give us verifiable data and evidence to support their shutdown, or lift the ban on youth sports competition by this coming Friday.
