Local 73 member and St. Louis Fire Department Training Officer James Farmer is running for board of directors for the Missouri Emergency Medical Service Association. Please take the time to read and if you’re a member vote. https://memsa.org/ James Farmer has spent his entire adult life in public service. He honed his trauma skills while working on wounded Marines, and provided care to injured sailors on the flight deck of USS America (CV-66). He began his civilian career ...working on the East Coast, but realized very quickly that St. Louis, his home town, is where he wanted to make a difference. James has experience in rural EMS, urban EMS, and education for a total of 18 years. In fact, for a two year period, James held the highest first time pass rate of paramedics in the entire state. It’s difficult to find a department in the metro area that does not have a former student of his. He currently holds a BS in Health Care Management, and is working towards his Master’s in Emergency and Disaster Management. James has been an advocate for increased mental health programs and education and will continue to do so if you elect James to MEMSA Board of Directors. James has one professional passion, the advancement of EMT’s and Paramedics in Missouri. A vote for him will bring someone who is focused on EMS advancement not only in Eastern Missouri, but statewide for all personnel.
