St. Louis County Police Family Association 07.12.2020

Good morning, residents. Yesterday afternoon, a St. Louis County Police detective leaving a crime scene was shot at while traveling through an intersection in... University City. It happened around 12:40 p.m. as he traveled south on Kingsland Avenue. When he came to the intersection of Julian Avenue, occupants of another vehicle fired shots at the detective and his vehicle. The suspects then fled the area in a silver Ford Mustang. The involved detective was uninjured in the incident. He is 37 years of age with 14 years of law enforcement experience. The unmarked police vehicle was struck three times in the passenger side. While the investigation is very active at this time, we are requesting anyone who may have knowledge of the shooting to contact our detective bureau with any information. The phone number is 636-529-8210. To remain anonymous or potentially receive a reward, please contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371TIPS(8477) if you have any information regarding the incident. Thank you, as always, for your help.
