Grocery box handout will be on Saturday, May 16 from 6 AM until 10 AM. There is no mobile market this month.

Our next food distribution will be Saturday, April 18th from 6 AM to 10 AM. You will be required to load your own groceries. Please plan ahead, as the boxes are 24" x 24" x 11" and very hard to handle. The boxes will fit in a trunk or hatch, but will prove difficult to lay flat in a back seat. Again, please plan ahead. Bring grocery sacks to lighten the boxes if needed. Don't return any boxes this month, you will be required to take this month's boxes even if empty, due to COVID-19 conditions. Also, only heads of household to pick up food, leave additional persons at home. You may bring one person for loading assistance if needed. Thanks to everyone for their efforts to bring this distribution together, we're all in this together.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 21: Disregard the post from a few days ago. - YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO LOAD YOUR OWN FOOD INTO YOUR CAR. Stop at the top of the hill and tell a staff member the household you are picking up for. Food Pantry staff will place your boxes on the driveway.. Pull down to the food pantry door when instructed, load your groceries and then drive off. The next vehicle will then come down to load their groceries when instructed. If you cannot p...hysically lift a,box, please plan ahead. You can load food into grocery bags from the cart and place them in your car. - Food is being distributed in this manner in order to maintain social distancing. This is for your and the food pantry staff's protection . - There is plenty of food available.

The St James Food pantry wii be OPEN as usual on Saturday, March 21, from 6 am til 10 am (unless we run out). Phone number: 573-436-0859. Because of the coronavirus and influenza, we have set the following guidelines. Read these below: - Heads of Household to pick up food. Leave additional family members at home it at all possible. - You must meet TEFAP income guidelines to receive food. The guidelines can be found in last month’s post. - Open the TRUNK or REAR HATCH of ...your vehicle before pulling into the Food Pantry Driveway. - Pull on around to the Food Pantry. - Stay in your car. A Food Pantry Staff Member will get your information and place Food in the rear of your vehicle. THE FOOD PANTRY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE FOOD IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF YOUR VEHICLE. This is for your safety and the safety of Food Pantry Staff. - Drive away to parking lot across street and close your trunk or hatch. The Mobile Market (on Friday’s) is CLOSED until further notice.

The next food box distribution will be on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 6 AM until 10 AM. I am posting the income guidelines if you would like to check to see if your family is eligible to receive a food box. If you receive any kind of public assistance, food stamps, public assistance, etc, you automatically qualify.

Mobile Market (Produce) is Friday, February 28, from 8 am til its gone. There are no income guidelines for Mobile Market.

Food box distribution is this Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 6 am-10:00 am. Please remember you must meet the eligibility guidelines to receive food. Also, please bring back boxes and the red bags that the meat is in. Thank you!
