LOUIS METRO AREA I-55 South Ramp to US 67 South to Close for 16 Days MoDOT will close the ramp from Interstate 55 South to US. 67 South for approximately 16 days starting Monday, October 26 at 1:00 am. ... The ramp will remain closed for 16 days in order to construct the pavement for the new auxiliary lane between Route A and US Route 67. The alternate route is a signed detour along Route A to Route 61/67. WEST-CENTRAL MISSOURI Closure of US 65 South of Chillicothe for Bridge Deck Replacement The Grand River Bridge on U.S. Route 65 in Livingston County will close next week as part of the bridge deck replacement project. The closure begins Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 12 a.m. and continues through Saturday, Oct. 31, at noon. When the bridge reopens, it will again be open to only one lane, with the 11.5-foot width restriction in place. A signed detour on Routes Z, C, DD, D and U.S. Route 36 will route most traffic. Follow the signs carefully as a nearby portion of Route C is closed to all but local traffic. CMV drivers might find Mo. Route 13 or US 63 to be more convenient alternates. All work is weather permitting with schedules subject to change

UPCOMING IMPACTFUL WORK ZONES SAINT LOUIS AREA Interstate Lanes/Ramp to close at/near Poplar Street Bridge Thurs./Fri. Interstate 44 East will narrow by two lanes and the ramp to Walnut St. (MM 291-292) will close starting at 7 pm, Thurs., Oct. 8 and open to full access by 5 a.m Friday.... The ramp from I-64 West to I-44 West/I-55 South will close at 8 p.m., Fri., Oct. 9 and reopen by 8 a.m. Saturday. During the closures, crews will repair pavement and allow time for concrete to cure. Nightly I-70 Lane Closures at Mo. River in STL Metro to Narrow Traffic Through Fri. Oct. 9, all traffic will share the westbound Blanchette Bridge (MM 230) over the Missouri River at night. The change will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The on ramp from Fifth Street to I-70 east will close at the same times. Drivers are advised to avoid congestion by using a combination of I-270 and Mo. Route 370 to create a loop around the ongoing bridge rehabilitation project. Nighttime CLOSURES of I-270 in North STL County Oct 15-17 All lanes of I-270 wll close at Exit 28 (Washington & Elizabeth) between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., on Thurs. Oct. 15 to Saturday, Oct 17. The closures allow workers to safely set beams in place to support a new bridge deck. Those with pickup and delivery in the area can use the outer road (Pershall) to route around the closure. all others are advised to use other routes through the Metro area. Bridges that carry Interstates 70, 44, 55 and 64 in the downtown St. Louis area are the nearest alternates. KANSAS CITY AREA I-29 On Ramp Closed for 10 Days North of Kansas City The ramp from Mo. Route 45 (64th St.) to I-29 South remains closed until early morning on Thursday, Oct 15. Drivers can use the ramp to I-29 North and Exit 6 to use the southbound ramp at the interchange. SOUTHEAST MISSOURI - Kentucky Connections One-Lane Traffic on U.S. 51 Ohio River ‘Cairo’ Bridge Extended to Oct. 25 The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that due to a supply delay, work on the U.S. 51/U.S. 60/U.S. 62 Ohio River Cairo Bridge will continue to Oct. 25, 2020. The width restriction of 8' 6" will remain until the deck and joint repairs are complete. Consider using the I-57 bridge between Illinois and Missouri as an alternate.

Overnight closure of I-270 West lanes in North St. Louis County Drivers who plan to travel I-270 Westbound between the Illinois State line to points west should be aware that MoDOT will close all lanes of I-270 West at Exit 30, beginning at 8:30 p.m. tonight. The closure will allow law enforcement to complete a reconstruction of an fatal crash that occurred recently. The closure may last several hours. All lanes should be reopened by midnight tonight.... Other bridges from Illinois to Missouri carry I-70, I-44/55/64 into the downtown area. Access to the southern metro area is available via the Jefferson Barracks I-270 south loop bridge. Those who must pick up or deliver near the closed area will be able to detour I-270 West at Exit 30 (New Halls Ferry) and take Dunn Road to southbound W. Florissant to access westbound I-270.

CHESTER BRIDGE WEIGHT LIMIT LOWERED TO 25 TONS Mo. Route 34/Mo. Route 74/Illinois Route 150 limitation begins Sept. 8 Recent bridge inspections showed deterioration, requiring MoDOT to restrict heavy loads on the Route 51/Chester Bridge in Perry County.The bridge allows traffic to cross above the Mississippi River between Perry County, Mo., and Chester, Illinois (Illinois Route 150).... Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, weight limit signs will be installed and the bridge will be limited to vehicles with a gross weight of 25 tons (50,000 lbs.). The weight limitation applies to ALL vehicles, including those carrying grain, grain co-products and livestock. Heavier traffic can cross the river using the I-255 bridge in the South St. Louis Metro Area or the Bill Emerson Bridge (Missouri Route 34/Mo Rte 74/Illinois Route 146) in Cape Girardeau. The bridge remains open and safe for use by traffic with a gross weight of less than 25 tons. Plans to repair the bridge are underway. When complete, a timeline will be announced. Expect that the Chester Bridge will be restored to a 40 ton (80,000 lbs.) weight limit. Stay safe!

Overnight closure of I-29 North near Oregon, Mo. A section of Interstate 29 in Holt County will close after midnight tonight as crews pour a new bridge deck at Kimsey Creek. Northbound I-29 traffic must take Exit 75 (Oregon) on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., and detour up U.S. Route 59, turn left onto Route 118 in Mound City and rejoin... I-29 at Exit 84 (Mound City). Before nightfall, please consult the MoDOT Traveler Information Map - or other map - to be familiar with US 59's path, which includes some significant curves and turns within the town of Mound City. Keep in mind that the U.S. Routes and rural highways can feature at-grade intersections, driveways, reduced speed limits and traffic lights. All work is weather-dependent. Schedules are subject to change. Stay safe, Stay healthy.

270 to CLOSE in North STL County this weekend Drivers who use the north side of the I-270 Loop in the St. Louis metro will need to find an alternate route beginning Friday evening through the early morning hours on Monday. Beginning at 9 pm, Friday, Aug. 28, crews will close ALL LANES of I-270 between Exits 28 and 27 for demolition of the Washington St./Elizabeth Ave. bridge above the interstate.... Through as late as 5 a.m., Mon., Aug. 31, drivers should use an alternate route such as I-70 or I-64 to move through the metro area. Those who have stops in North St. Louis County can use the outer roads - Dunn and Pershall - to route around the area, however, expect delays, excessive traffic and a need for extra caution. Visit the I-270 North project website at http://www.i270north.org/ to learn more about the multi-year effort to improve the safety and reliability of this essential corridor. Work will be underway year-round through 2023. Stay safe!
