With COVID-19 at the forefront of our thoughts, it’s easy to forget that we’re also in the middle of the 2020 Census. While Missouri has an overall self-response rate of 62.1% (slightly higher than the national average), St. Louis’ rate is 49.5%. For every person that is not counted in the census, Missouri will lose $1,300 in federal money every year. Due to the results of the 2010 Census, Missouri lost a congressional seat and hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding. The 2020 Census will continue through October 31, so there is still time to make sure that #MissouriCounts. We were so blessed today by one of our family's..not only did they treat staff to a awesome meal and a huge cake but then brought all of our residents shakes from McDonald's! It is really the small things that bring so much joy! THANK YOU!
