BIG NEWS! Missouri eWIC is HERE! We're very excited about this transition and how it will help streamline the process checking out at the store. If you have an appointment scheduled the week of Monday, July 20th-Friday July 24th, please note that we might call you at a different time than your scheduled appointment due to updates with our program. We will be giving your more information regarding eWIC during your next scheduled appointment. Here's a few important updates abo...ut our current clinic process: 1. ALL appointments through September 30th will be done over the phone. If you have August checks already, we will set you up with the eWIC card during your next scheduled appointment. Unfortunately due to policy, we're not able to issue the card to you prior to your next scheduled appointment. If you're not sure what your next scheduled appointment is, please contact our office at (417) 864-1540. 2. Please set up voicemail and/or clear out voicemail box to ensure we’ll be able to contact you. Please let us know of any address or phone number changes. Failing to update your contact info with us may delay you receiving your eWIC card. 3. This is a big change for our agency, please be patient with us as we adjust to this new program. Please comment below what questions you have!

Just a friendly reminder that your benefits are not automatically uploaded to your eWIC card. Upon completing your appointment, we ask that you come to our main office with your eWIC card to get your next set of benefits loaded on it. Our main office is at the Jordan Valley Community Health Center on 440 E Tampa Street.

In our ongoing effort to protect our WIC families from Covid-19, all appointments will be conducted virtually until further notice. It is important that you save our number, (417) 864-1540, to your contacts so it’s not accidentally marked as spam. We would also encourage you to have a working voice mail box. If we can’t reach you, we will leave a voice message. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in navigating the unusual circumstances that Covid-19 has brought. We hope all of our WIC families are staying safe & healthy during these difficult times.

Hey everyone, we hope the new eWIC card is making getting your benefits easier. Here is some helpful information based on questions we've received as we have transitioned to eWIC. When putting the card into the readers a message will appear on the screen asking if you would like to update the card. You will need to select yes for the transaction to work. If there are any issues with the card, there are a few things that can be done/collected to help narrow down the possibili...ties of what the issue could be for your local WIC agency 1) When initially getting the card, only buy one (or a few) items to ensure that the card is properly working. 2) Write down any kind of error code/message that potentially appears on the screen of the card reader. 3) Go to the customer service desk of the store you are at and request a "balance inquiry." Download the "WIC Shopper" App. Features of the App: - Provides the balance remaining on the card. (You will need to enter your WIC card number into the app for it to work). - The app can be used to scan items to see if they are WIC compatible. - Finally, and most recently updated, the app now provides appointment reminders. The reminder will be received five days prior to the scheduled appointment date.

Short on time in the morning? This is Nutritionist Allison's favorite make-ahead breakfast! It uses several WIC approved foods - eggs, milk, cheese, and spinach! It is high in protein to help you feel full longer.

Sometimes babies can eat a lot. Because they triple in size in the first year of life! Toddlers, however, may eat very tiny amounts of food. Less than babies, e...ven. Because they aren't growing as much. This is why the most powerful thing you can do with your little one is to let them decide whether to eat and how much. Don't push them to eat. Just watch them decide how much to eat. Some kids will eat a lot - that’s okay! Some kids will eat a little, that’s okay too. If there is truly a problem with your child’s growth, your pediatrician will bring it up with you. Maybe your little one eats the plate on the left some days. That's okay. It's also okay if your child eats two bites at a meal and is done. It's normal. It's normal. It's normal. #kidseatincolor Need help getting your kids to eat veggies? only 18 summers with your little ones (if you're lucky and they still want to hang with you in years 15-18). Make everyone of them count!

We will address some coming changes as we transition from traditional paper check benefits to electronicWIC (eWIC) benefits in the coming weeks. When cards are assigned there will be an authorized representative as well as alternative representatives (or proxies). While these alternative representatives can come to appointments, they will not have the ability to receive new cards or reset the pin number for cards. The only person who will know the PIN number for the eWIC card is the authorized representative and it is their prerogative to share this information at their discretion. They will also be the only one who can receive new cards or reset the PIN.
