Speaking of the Arts 01.01.2021

It's the last Speaking of the Arts of 2020 and it's on Christmas Day! This week is a lovely, snuggly fireside chat with two of the most beautiful voices in Columbia, Audra Sergel and Symonne Sparks, plus a theatre director whose productions are always heart-tickling, Joy Powell. So snuggle up on the sofa on Christmas morning with a hot chocolate or a mimosa, and me and the girls from 10-11am on 89.5FM KOPN Columbia. And here's a little preview of Symonne Sparks and Savaun Williams-Bounds new recording. https://fb.watch/2zr5OEytuO/

I had such a a lovely time chatting to arts peeps for the 2020 Arts Year in Review show that it ended up being long enough for two shows. So this week's guests are Skylark Bookshop's Alex George, Columbia Art League's Executive Director Kelsey Hammond, Columbia Daily Tribune arts guru Aarik Danielsen, and Talking Horse Productions Artistic Director, Adam Brietzke. And the 2020 arts reviews continue next week on Christmas Day with Audra Sergel, Joy Powell and Symonne Sparks! Friday morning 10-11am on 89.5FM KOPN Columbia.

When you have a duet of Dickens' Christmas Carols and a pair of holiday gift books, you know the 25th December can't be too far away. Super fun show this week: Greenhouse Theatre Project's Elizabeth Braaten Palmieri and the Lyceum Theatre's Quin Gresham talk about their A Christmas Carol productions (both super enticing!); Kira Harris talks about her new adult picture book 'The World is Full of Assholes' and Jill Orr chats about her best-selling book 'How Not To Be Old (Even If You Are)' - and I've already picked up some tips!... It all starts in 10 minutes on 89.5FM KOPN Columbia. Coffee, mince pie, comfy chair, and.... https://www.youtube.com/watch
