You will have contact with your Aesthetician only. COVID is real and we take extreme precautions to keep everyone safe. Every appointment in our Spa is followed by a 30 minute sanitizing process. You will be in a sanitary Salon by yourself with our stylist. We have a separate HVAC Air Purification system circulating air only in our Salon (one of 7 for our entire building..each department has a separate unit which is exactly the same). Each unit sanitizes and purifies incoming and recirculating air. ****************************************** We have reduced our hours dramatically due to the current pandemic. Friends of the Spa on Penn! We thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time. The spa is now open for business, with new safety procedures in place. This is both for your safety and for the safety of our practitioners. We’ve worked with the health department to create the most optimal plan for a sanitary spa experience. The safety plan includes but is not limited to the following:... We have installed Air Scrubbers to all 7 of our HVAC units in the building which sanitize and filter incoming air and the air that is circulated throughout the building. - We ask that everyone who enters the spa wear a mask. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. Those receiving facials will be able to remove their masks at the time of service. We use Ozone Steam to purify the skin and the air in the room during your facial service. - Clients and practitioners must both consent to a temperature check upon checking in. - Rather than check in with the front desk, clients will be greeted at the front door by their practitioner. Please knock and/or call the spa upon arrival and someone will answer as soon as they are able. There are chairs placed outside the spa and inside the door. Our goal is that your practitioner be the only person you come into close contact with upon entering the spa. - Clients will be asked to answer a brief COVID-19 exposure survey when booking the appointment, when confirming the appointment, and when arriving for the appointment. The purpose of this survey is to assess if you have made any significant travel outside the Kansas City Metropolitan Area in the past 14 days, are exhibiting symptoms of illness, and/or have been knowingly exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. - We are utilizing contactless payment. To book an appointment, clients will be asked to put a card on file, and informed that they will be charged the day before their scheduled service. They are also welcome to pay with gift cards or redeem a Groupon. We are not accepting cash at this time. *Refusal to follow safety protocols may result in cancellation of your appointment with full responsibility for all charges for all appointments scheduled. There will be no cancellation fees associated with needing to reschedule due health or safety. We’ve also made some changes to the services we offer. At this time our dry sauna and water services, will be limited use and there will be a charge due to our new more detailed sanitizing process. We ARE offering massages, facials, nail services, and hair appointments. We appreciate your patience at this time.
