Meet Amanda Baker, our amazing Director of Human Resources! We asked Amanda what makes working at Southeast Behavioral Hospital so rewarding. "Human Resources is my passion, I've been doing it for over 20 years. I am excited to get in on the ground floor of Southeast Behavioral and bring in talented, motivated staff to provide high quality care to our patients and meet the mental health needs of Southeast Missouri."

Meet Mike Huskey, our Nurse Executive/Chief Nursing Officer. He has worked for Universal Health Services, Inc. since 2017, and has served as a nursing leader for over 21 years. Mike is originally from Missouri and is excited to be working at Southeast Behavioral Hospital and back in an area he considers home. In his time as a nursing professional, Mike has adopted the qualities and philosophy of "people first," which focuses on the needs of the individual. "People first" encompasses the responsibility to reward, recognize and celebrate the contributions of individuals and teams with the high demands of healthcare. He believes people will perform at their best depending on the tools they have, and as leaders, we have to ensure our people are well cared for and have the tools they need to be successful.

We're hard at work finishing up construction at Southeast Behavioral Hospital. There's been so much progress since breaking ground in 2019! We cannot wait to open up our doors and begin serving the needs of Cape Girardeau and the surrounding communities in 2021!

We are pleased to introduce you to Southeast Behavioral's CEO, Tim Cockrell, RN, BSN, MHSA. In addition to over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field, Tim has served on several boards, including NAMI, the Mississippi Nurses Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives and Mental Health America Board of Directors.
