Sister Nellie Lankford of the Ozark, MO congregation has gone home to the Lord this morning, October 6, 2020. Please remember her family in your prayers.
We would like to share a post from our sister Jennifer Weiberg. Please keep her family in your prayers. Dear family and friends, The last two weeks have been the toughest of my life. I know many of you know what has been going on with my father. It was determined that he fell and hit his head which is what caused the bleeds on his brain. For the first week he was sedated and we were given hope that he could pull through all of this and recover to a good portion of health ...and function. This past week he has not been sedated and has not had any neurological changes. Mom, Zach, and I all have discussed and come to the realization that he is not going to physically/mentally recover from this. If he did go to rehab it would not be for a long time due to the fact that he has to recover to a point where he can participate in recovery and that would even be months down the line (if ever). I said all this to say that after talking with doctors this morning that the best decision for dad would be to let his body pass rather than have him go through any more procedures. I ask that you please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we move into this stage. We have a meeting set up with hospice tomorrow morning, and we do not know what time frame all of this will happen, but he will start in patient hospice tomorrow. Our hearts are broken but we have peace in knowing that there is something better waiting for us than this physical life. My Daddy endured so many physical things in life and now I don't have to worry about him experiencing the pains of aging/deteriorating slowly. I was always a Daddy's Girl growing up and I have so many precious memories with him that I get to cherish. Thank you all for checking in on us throughout the past two weeks and for the prayers, and please keep them coming! We love you All! - The Weiberg Family See more
Brethren, Please keep in your prayers brother Ted Weiberg of Paris, TX. He has suffered significant brain bleeds and was life flighted last night to Plano to be further assessed and cared for in the Neuro ICU. Ted's daughter Jennifer lives and worships here in Ozark, and will be traveling to Texas to be with her family today. Please keep all of the Weiberg family in your prayers at this time.
We have learned this morning that sister Dixie Lankford of Neosho, MO has passed away. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Evening update from brother Jared Lankford: Mom now has a double infection including pneumonia. She has not spoken since 6:30 p.m. yesterday. They have put her back on two powerful antibiotics. The doctor tells us that judging by mom's vitals she is fighting and they are now giving her nutrition through an IV. The family is holding up as well as can be expected. We have accepted the fact that mom's future is in God's hands.... The hospital is letting the family rotate into mom's room two at a time. Thank you for the many prayers and messages. See more

PRAYERS NEEDED FOR BROTHER ERVIN BAKER! [From Cassie] Dad is on his way to hospital. Passed out. Called 911. Came to. Was able to answer questions. Pulse rate w...as 30. They are admitting him. Have stabilized his heart rate. May need a pacemaker. Made it through the night. Slept some. His heart rate is running in the low 50’s for the last few hours. Will see what cardiologist says when he comes in. They are letting him out of bed. Reported by Todd Richardson
Please pray for Dixie Lankford. The following is from Dana (Lankford) Johnson Many have asked for an update on my mom...there is not a lot that has changed. She is at Mercy-Joplin. She has seen the on call physicians and they are still wanting to run more tests. Mom needs a heart catheterization, but right now they cannot do it until her kidney function improves. They also hope to do an echocardiogram. We are hopeful that will happen tomorrow. Please continue to pray for mom and dad. This is really hard on both of them not only because we are unsure of what is wrong, but because no one is allowed to see her...they do not do well without each other. Thank you for all of the prayers, calls, texts, and inquiries. Lord willing, she will see her heart doctor tomorrow.
With a heavy heart, the Mission Hills congregation has decided to cancel the 2020 Missouri 4th of July Meeting. With the uncertain state of what public health a...nd local laws will look like in June and July, this decision was made out of an abundance of caution. Please continue to pray for all those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Lord willing, we'll see you in 2021! See more
With much regret, and in the best interest of the health and safety of our dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the Ozark congregation has come to the decision that we will CANCEL the 2020 Memorial Day Gospel Meeting. Please know this is not an easy decision to make, as this is a very special time we all look forward to each year. May God continue to bless each one, and we will look forward to meeting again soon.
