Shop with a Cop 20 children from 11 families will be able to shop for their own Christmas gifts. The money collected will also go towards necessities such as hats, gloves, coats, and boots. We’ve been busy with our math materials this morning.

How does Montessori set children up for success in math? One of the major benefits of the Montessori method is the way the children are guided from the concrete... to the abstract. Once the child has learned the basics such as quantities and numerals, equations are introduced. As you can see, the child is still benefiting from a concrete representation of the material through the Addition Strip Board, as she starts incorporating abstract concepts into her understanding.
