Missouri Sports Hall of Fame is set to induct Notre Dame de Sion Girls Golf Program & Coach Dana Hoeper on November 15th! Sion is one of the MOST SUCCESSFUL Girls Golf Programs EVER with a total of 9 State Championships won by Kelly Cooper-1988 & 1989, Emily Hoeper Olson - 2001, Ellen Hoeper Fisher - 2002, Celeste Gassman Houlehan-2008, and Megan Propeck - 2017, 2018 & 2020. Additional Sports Updates: Field Hockey ended their season with 2 wins against rival KC team, Pembroke Hill. Their last game of the season went to a shoot-out, winning 3-2. Softball ended their season with 6 wins in their last 8 regular season games. They placed 2nd in the Raytown South Tournament.... Way to go Sion Storm!!

I'd like to introduce to you one of our social media contributors this year, Mikayla Gunther! Mikayla is a senior this year. She is on the varsity teams for both lacrosse and volleyball. She has been a member of SADD club for all 4 years and the President of Health and Wellness club for 2 years. This year, Mikayla is the Senior Class President but has been involved in STUCO since freshman year. She loves to exercise, hang out with her friends, and go to the lake with her family. The thing she loves most about Sion is the sense of community and how close all the girls are. Welcome to the team, Mikayla!

This Friday, October 9th at 7pm in the gym is Sion's annual Night of One Acts. We currently have 36 remaining seats for faculty and students. Teacher Tuesday! Today we want to acknowledge the greatest High School Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction a school could ever have, Ellen Carmody! This is her 23rd year of dedication to Sion! Ms. Carmody began her career at Sion as the grade school religion teacher and then transitioned to teaching 5th grade. As if that wasn't enough she became the Director of Technology and Division Head at the grade school prior to her current role as she coaches all the te...achers and academic planning for the high school. Ms. Carmody continues to amaze the Sion community as she has recently led us into some of our latest innovative courses being offered this year. She is an unbelievable asset to our school and our community. We hope that she knows how much she is appreciated by the faculty, staff, students, parents, and greater community! #SionTeachersAreNumberOne
