It's a little bit sense I've made a post on this page, it's been a crazy couple of month but with school starting I have a bit more time to process things. This morning as I sipped my coffee I was thinking about this incredible horse Houdini who carried my dad to his first academy classes to his first season in show pleasure. Now he is carring a bunch of academy kids to their first classes, their first victories and their first defeats. He is helping seasoned riders over come demons and he loves every minute of it. How unbelievably blessed are we to have this amazingly kind and giving soul to grow and learn with. Debuting in her first show out of academy at the Central States Benefit and with great excitement is Anna Bedsworth and Stock Up for the Junior Exhibitor Open English Pleasure! Sorry for the blury picture my phone camera had sweat on it!

Double J's Houdini and Audrey Thuss are looking forward to their debut in the ASB 14-17 Show Pleasure Division at Central States Benefit!

We are very excited to announce that Sims and McCallister Stables are moving locations to a beautiful facility close to Loch Loyd Missouri, right outside of Belton and on the edge of Leawood Kansas. Stay tuned for an open house once we finish getting moved and horses settled!

Coming up on our first show this year! Everyone is working hard and looking forward to new teams, new faces and new challenges! So proud of my team! Duffy takes the reins over on Desert Rattler for the ameture park pleasure and show pleasure divisions. Duffy will also return to the ring with his good ole Double J's Houdini. Ouzo will be returning to open hunter divisions with trainer Shelby Sims and in the asb hunter junior exhibitor and county pleasure divisions with Audrey ...Thuss. Also watch for Ouzo to show his diversity in the academy classes and Audrey Thuss to show her diversity with Double J's Houdini in junior exhibitor show pleasure and junior exhibitor open English classes through out the year. Watch for Brown Sugar Blues and trainer Shelby Sims later in the season in the UPHA Park Pleasure Classics and the 3 Year Old Park Pleasure classes. Opa!!! See more

Ouzo was second in a nice ASB Hunter Country Pleasure class at Longview Charity Horse Show with Audrey Thuss. This horse keeps growing and learning with every show. I'm excited for his future! Thank you Leah for the pictures!

UPHA Chapter 5 photos. Great first show of the year. Double J's Houdini carried his owner Duffy Logsdon to his first suit class to a reserve in the Limit Rider Show Pleasure Class. Desert Rattler with trainer Shelby Sims got reserve in the Park Pleasure qualifier and Ouzo with catch rider Hannah Wiseman got reserve champion in the ASB Hunter Country Pleasure Championship. Very proud of my horses & riders! Working hard and looking forward to the Central States Benefit Horse Show!

Being apart of wide awake dreams, and having my horse bring to life not only my dreams but the dreams of anyone who puts a foot in his stirrups is another dream come true for me. This is a very special horse, I'd say he has no clue, but he's pretty proud of himself

In her first hunt seat class ever, Hannah made an amazing go of it with Ouzo to get reserve in a nice hunter country pleasure championship at the Chapter 5 Horse Show. Keep an eye out for this team in the Midwest in the Amature Hunter Country Pleasure classes! Oopah!

Reminder to everyone, there are no lessons this weekend. I will be at my friends funeral and celebration Friday and Saturday.

Super excited with how the February Central States Winter Tournament went! Duffy Logsdon had a great first walk trot canter class on Simon after only 5 rides on him. Then Shelby showed Houdini in the trainers class, just for fun and fun it was! Then Duffy came back on his boy Houdini in the show pleasure show practice class for a third place ribbon out of 6 great horses and riders! I am so proud of how far they have come in such a short time. Now, some more hard work for the last tournament in March and then let the shows begin!

Lessons will be canceled this week for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It is going to be far to cold and hard on the horses lunges, and our first priority must always be the horses. We will continue lessons the following week as normal/weather permitting.

It's been a great year! Can't wait to see what the future holds.

Second time under saddle going over the cross rail and third time ever. I think he's kind of a natural! Looking forward to see what we can do this winter with this quick special horse.

Learning how to go over a cross rail. He's never even seen one before, lead him over twice and did this the rest of the time! Good boy Ouzo!

Duffy and Double J's Houdini put on a fantastic ride and won both adult walk & trot classes this morning! They keep pushing and getting better every show, we are very excited for what's next for this team!!

A beautiful weekend for a beautiful outdoor show at the amazing historical Longview Horse Park. Desert Rattler (in the picture) got to put on a one horse exhibition in the Park Pleasure class with all eyes on him, he put on one of his best shows of his career. What a thrill!! Hey everyone! So as our program continues to grow I will be putting a new policy out. Starting next week I will need 24 hour notice for canceled lessons, if you do not cancel before 24 hours you lose that lesson with no refund or reschedule available for that lesson on pre-paid packages. On all none packaged lessons canceled after 24 hours will be subject to a cancelation fee of $15 at the next lesson. So please give me 24 hours to reschedule or cancel. Thank you!
