SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! Tomorrow marks the official launch of the 1st Annual Nothing Campaign. There are 8,620 people in Johnson County Missouri that do not know ...where their next meal will come from. For many, it’s a choice between paying for medical care, rent, utilities, or food. Unfortunately, the numbers continue to rise. A recent study by Feeding America showed that Johnson County, of which Warrensburg is the county seat, is among the worst for food insecurity in Harvesters’ 26-county service area in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Fortunately, things do not have to be this way. While some think that nothing can be done to solve the issue of hunger, Manna Harvest believes that we can all do something to ensure everyone in Johnson County has enough food to eat. But we need your help! The cost of each can is $5, and filling a can with spare change will replace the nothing on your neighbor’s table with more than 50 pounds of nourishing food! Please join us and together we can put an end to the Nothing that so many experience! We are looking for community organizations and local partners to distribute the Nothing Can over the next three months.
