Shelbina firefighters assisted Novelty/Plevna and Shelby Community Fire Departments at a structure fire north of Leonard on county road 117 at 1:30am. The home was heavily damaged. No injuries were reported.
Shelbina firefighters were dispatched at 1:30 this afternoon to 609 Dickerson in Shelbina for a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the home. The house received heavy fire damage. Shelbina firefighters were on the scene for over 5 hours. Firefighters were assisted by the Shelby Community Fire Department, Shelbina Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff's Department, City of Shelbina, Shelby County E911, Salt River Ambulance District, and the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.

Shelbina firefighters responded to the Christian Church in Shelbina at 8:22 this morning. A broken gas line caused high levels of natural gas in the building. The gas was shut off and the building was ventilated. Firefighters were assisted by the Shelbina Gas Department, and Kenny's Appliance repair. Firefighters were on the scene until 10am.
Shelbina firefighters responded to assist the Shelby Community Fire Department with a structure fire at 5:02 this evening. The fire was located three miles west of Shelbyville on Highway K. The shop building was fully engulfed upon arrival. The fire was contained to the building of origin. Other agencies assisting included the Shelby County Sherrifs Department, Salt River Ambulance District, Shelby E911 and Macon Electric Cooperative.

Shelbina firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 2:44 this afternoon. The fire was located just east of Lentner, on Highway 36. Upon arrival, firefighters found a 1999 Ford F250 pulling a camper trailer, with fire underneath the truck. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the truck, and no damage to the camper. Other agencies assisting at the scene included the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shelby County Sheriff's Department, and Shelby County 911.
Congratulations to Firefighter Jeffrey Wilt for completing Firefighter 1&2 training, as well as HazMat Operations. The 320 hours of training was through Moberly Area Community College. The instructors were from the Hannibal Fire Department. Thank you for your dedication to our community!
