Note they do not cover city utilities like water but can cover evergy etc. Any in this area is eligible for this funding. Covid-19 assistance for Odessa and surround area. Are you struggling financially because of Covid-19. Catholic charities may be able to help. Catholic Charities has received a $250k grant from the State of Missouri to provide housing and utility assistance to families in our diocese who are struggling to stay in their homes and keep their lights on. They will be at St. George Catholic Church-Odessa from 10-1 on Monday Nov. 2 for a one time dispersing of funds. This opportun...ity is available to those who live within the Catholic Charities’ county coverage area (27 counites in MO) and are in need of assistance with either rent or utilities. Some great news! Stay tuned for an important message from me about how Public Masses will return locally for the parishes of St. George and St. Jude. Mass wil...l return at St. George on May 4 and on May 16 at St. Jude according to local health regulations. It is important for people to know that the dispensation from Mass continues and that people over 60 and those with underlying health conditions are being encouraged to continue to stay home for your safety.
