Weaning fall calves last week and this week. I’m feeling a little behind schedule this year, but I’m blaming the grass this spring, keeping these cows in such good shape. It won’t be long and we will have a few pot loads of calves to sell. These will be a really nice calves for anyone that is interested.

We also would like to thank all of the friends and family that give us a couple days of their time every year to help us get our calves branded. I was given quite a bit of credit, but really I’m only a small cog in the wheel that makes Santa Fe turn. Thanks to Mike, cynthia, Porter, and patsy. Also my wife Tonya, and the Wilson family that work along side in the day to day things. Watching all of the kids, friends and fellowship, make all of the hardships we face in farming and ranching worth it for me. We had a window through the rain on this awesome spring day to move some cattle around the ranch to new grass!

Huge shout out to our crew today! Thanks to Luke and Casey from the crossroads horse ministry team and Brice for coming with them. Also want to thank scott and tonya for all the hard work they do around her. Bulls are all pulled and pairs have been rotated to the farthest reaches of the ranch!

We were super blessed this week! We got a ton accomplished and the future of Santa Fe ranch is looking very bright. We want to thank all of our close friends and family for sharing a few days with us at the ranch this week! I give all the credit to God for blessing us here, with such great ownership, leadership, land, facilities, and cattle. It’s taken a ton of determination, dedication, and sacrifice to get us to the point we are at today. I pray that we continue to never take it for granted!
