Update on Christina from her mother Mary- Christina Ernest-Boman Learned something new yesterday! They taught her how to talk with her trach! It is hard for her and tires her out but now when there is a facetime call she can talk too. She is out of the sedation or at least most of it and she is trying to piece together the month that she has lost. She remembers being told she was negative for covid and then being told she was positive the same day . The last thing she remembe...rs is the ER in Joplin on Oct 23rd. She doesn't remember the flight to Mercy. She is getting better a little each day. The nurse told her she was over the worst part and now just has to heal. Her limbs are very weak so they plan on therapy to regain their use. They plan to start weaning her down on the vent from the 45 it is now until she is breathing on her own again. (we hope). How much she will regain is left to be seen but 3 Drs. have said they saw Gods miracle happen before their eyes and we agree and give him the glory! We thank him for granting us this wonderful gift and we thank you: Friends and family for helping us with all the prayers and encouragement and messages. See more
