Senath First Assembly of God

God showed Ezekiel a valley full of bones like this. They were dry bones with no life. But in this vision, the bones came together in full skeletons. Then muscle, tendons, and skin covered the bones leaving a valley of dead bodies. Finally, the Spirit of God blew on them and gave them life. This vision was a picture of Israel, a spiritually dead nation that God promised to raise to life. The prophets declared judgment on all nations for their sin, but especially on His unfait...hful people. But the prophets also had a message of hope because God is gracious. That hope became a reality in Jesus. The message of Christmas is the hope of new life through faith in Jesus, God become man to die for our sins and rise again to give us life with God forever. We continue to work with the church in Papua New Guinea assisting with pastoral development, Bible colleges, training children’s workers, and promoting drug and... alcohol rehabilitation through Teen Challenge. The Bible does not mention an innkeeper nor a stable. Yet there is an important Christmas lesson to be learned from them.

Do you show contempt for God? Malachi accused the people of doing that when they offered a crippled animal to God. God deserves our best. Since our best often falls short, what He asks is our faith in His Son, Jesus. But once we trust in Jesus, we will want to do our best in giving God all our best. Anything less is showing God contempt. So once again, do you show contempt for God? He honored us by giving His Son. Trust in Him. Join us Wednesday at 7:00 PM as we study Malachi.
