Welcome Back Day 3 - Our friends and colleagues at First Call offer a wide variety of recovery and relapse prevention resources throughout the metro area for both individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. Near and dear to our hearts here at Second Chance, they also provide one-on-one reentry support services for individuals returning home from incarceration! Even if you are a family member of a loved one struggling with substance misuse, there are incredible How to Cope Groups offered for support services. The second feature of our digital Welcome Back Week is United Way 2-1-1. They are a 23-county wide resource hub for the Kansas City area, where people can access information to various resources 24/7. They provide information on services such as emergency needs, healthcare, employment, and education. This resource is free of charge and can be accessed by phone or online. Although having this event on our Facebook page is not ideal, we still wanted to spread crucial information about resources in the Kansas City community! Please stay tuned each day this week for information on these various programs. -- We are starting the week off with KC Care Health Center, located at 3515 Broadway Blvd. KC Care is a healthcare organization that provides equal access to healthcare for people who are un...derinsured/uninsured. They provide a large variety of services, which are attached below. They are also providing frequent, free COVID-19 testing sites for residents of KCMO.
