What an AWESOME day where 1,000 Girl Scouts and their family members collected much-needed items for our fantastic community partners: Har...vesters - The Community Food Network, HappyBottoms.org, Giving Hope & Help , Giving the Basics and Second Harvest Community Food Bank. Today was our Giving Parade drop off at Camps Tongawood & Prairie Schooner, Second Harvest in St. Joseph, Harvesters in Topeka and Kappa Delta in Lawrence. Girl Scouts in costume and some of our truly impressive decorated vehicles made this Halloween truly special. Shout out to Troop 1054 - Bethany Marshall, Troop 2170 - Melissa Woody & Troop 2636 - Amanda Dennis our winners at Camp Prairie Schooner. Shout out to Troop 2211 with two winning cars - Angela Villanueva and Troop 3304 - Ashley MacDonald at Camp Tongawood. At our Kappa Delta drop off, our friends at Kappa Delta picked costume winners - way to go to Jessica Hensley's car and Shari Anderson's car. Woo Hoo! A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to all our Girl Scouts who participated in our Inaugural Giving Parade. Thousands of items were collected for those in need! And that is what it is all about!!
