Scrubby Duds is going 24 hours again starting today. Please remember that 6 ft social distancing still applies. The current layout of the laundromat will still remain. Based on our square footage we should have no more than 5 people in the laundromat at a time. To be respectful and to maximize customers usage please load the machines you're using and wait in your vehicle or sit outside. ... Please share this post Opening Saturday, April 11 at 8:00 am. Scrubbys will be open Daily 8 am to 6 pm. Please be respectful of the 6 pm closing. We have to sanitize at night and need Scrubbys to have some down time before we clean. We have made changes that hopefully will help with 6 ft distancing. Please read the messages on the doors and inside the laundromat. ... Definitely limited traffic patterns and people will have to wait outside for the washing machine aisle to become available but there was no other way to maintain the 6 ft social distancing. It will require taking turns or exit out the back door after loading washer. The pictures show the temporary layout of the laundromat. Scrubby Duds is going to re-open on Saturday, April 11th. We will be open daily from 8:00 am to 6:pm. The laundromat will be arranged a little different. The left door, when facing, will be the entrance and the exit for the washers. The right door will be the entrance and exit for the dryers. 3 dryers will be shut down to maintain the 6 foot distancing on the dryer aisle to allow social distancing for the bill changer. It will take you longer to do your laundry but at least ...you have a chance do it. If everyone resoects each other this process will work. Max of 4 people in the laundromat at one time 1 person per vehicle in the laundromat 1 person per washer aisle at a time At dryers customers will have to wait until others are at a safe distance away Max dryer time will need to be limited to 36 minutes to keep laundry moving. NO dry only customers we have to keep people moving through the laundromat to get people thtough that have washed clothes at Scrubbys After loading machines go to your car and wait for your machine to finish. 35 minutes for washer to run Do not leave the parking lot stay until clothes are done to keep laundry moving. Please police yourself so law enforcement does not have to get involved. The 6 foot distance is what we are asked to keep according to the government. For the safety of everyone, if 6 foot distancing isn't respected we will be forced to lock the doors until the stay home order is lifted

Thank you for the calls asking when we will open. We are trying to come up with a plan to help with social distancing in the laundromat. Our goal is to open by this weekend. Please be patient with us as we develop a plan. We want to have our valued customers to be able to their laundry. Bob and Paulette Thompson

Through reading the Governor's stay at home order, Scrubby Duds is locking it's doors for the duraration of the stay at home order. We checked with the City of Kirksville police department and the way the law reads businesses must be able to have customers maintain the 6 foot social distancing. The design of the laundromat makes that very difficult to follow. We would only be able to have 3 customers in the buliding at a time. Some days that would be manageable and others ...impossible. While we all have had to give up some things, remember those families who have lost loved ones through this time. Our prayer is that we all remember that freedom is not free, that we appreciate peole and our freedom when this covid 19 allows us to open back up. We will miss our customers and pray for your safety during this time.

We visited with a physician today about the virus situation and needed daily cleaning. The good news is we are doing all we can do. The bad news is we need time when people are out of there for at least 3 hours before we clean. Particles can float in the air for 3 to 4 hours and enter through eyes or open sores. Bob and I want to err on the side of caution. We are going to reduce our hours of operation. Effective tomorrow, April 1st, we will NOT be open 24 hours. Our hours... will be 8:00 am to 6 pm daily to allow time for particles in the air to settle and to disinfect to the best of our ability. Our cleaning doesn't do all the work on this virus. Remember, social distancing, stay home if sick and hand washing are all critical. A reminder that our washer aisle is not 6 feet wide. Please, please one person at a time in the aisle. Remember-the virus doesn't travel people move the virus. We are committed to staying open as long as we are healthy because we know people need to do their laundry. Bob and Paulette Thompson

We are Sanitizing Scrubby Duds. We need you to do your part. Social distancing is a must during this pandemic. Social distancing is 6 feet. To put this in perspective in the laundromat the aisle with the washers is not 6 feet wide. One person in the aisle at a time. Every third dryer would be the 6 feet social distancing. If someone is at a dryer in the aisle where the billing changer is WAIT. It does not met the 6 foot social distancing. Please take this serious and make i...t a part of your daily habits. It maybe your life or the life of a family member you are saving. Scrubby Duds is open 24 hours to allow convenience to do your laundry at times that are not as busy. Take advantage of this during time of SOCIAL DISTANCING. Bob and I take this very serious. Do your part to help stop the spread of the virus. Need some help. This lady was in Scrubby Duds last night around midnight. Bob and i had made the decision to not allow the carts to be used and moved out table and chairs. We are trying to help with social distancing. We didn't have a chamce to get a chain and pad lock, busy trying to keep things clean so Scrubbys can stay open, and the lady in the picture thought it was a good decision to cut the rope so carts could be used. Scrubby Duds is committed to trying to stay open during the time of uncertainity about the spreading of the Coronavirus. We are taking increased measures to do our best to minimize the spread of the virus but it takes all of us. We have all heard the directions of the CDC about social distancing. For customers at Scrubby Duds this will mean not crowding the aisles and waiting for others to load machines then proceeding to the machine they want to use. Scrubby Duds offers a va...riety of times being open 24 hours a day. During this time please pick times where social distancing can be accomplished. If we all work together, we can all get our laundry needs met. We also need to ask that only customers doing laundry use the bill changer. It puts a strain on the laundromat when others come to get quarters. I know that banks and other stores are closing early but please leave the needed quarters for those doing laundry. The below sign describes how to take precautions during this time. We truly appreciate our customers and want to stay open during this time. A small business likes ours depends on us to stay healthy to continue to meet the needs of our valued customers. We need your help Scrubby Duds friends. On Tuesday, Feb 4 at 10:18 pm, the person in the pictures thought they were entitled to take a cart belonging to Scrubbys. The Scrubbys community has always been great at helping us get back stolen items for us. We are offering a $50 REWARD for the cart being found and the name of the person who thought this was ok to take something that does not belong to you. Newest person added to the WALL OF SHAME!!!

Had a great time yesterday handing out candy and shout wiped at the Soybean Festival in Laplata yesterday.
