A reminder that Science City and The Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium are closed thru January 13 and that Dinosaur Road Trip is now open Thursdays thru Sundays only as new seasonal hours take effect.

Science City is the Regional Partner for Code.org in the western half of Missouri and the entire state of Kansas. We have been providing Code.org workshops for the elementary space for 6 years and have now been serving middle and high school teachers for 3 years as well! The program fee of $1,800 covers the year-long program (9-days of professional development consisting ...of a 5-day summer institute and 4 additional academic-year workshop) along with your teaching materials and workshop supplies. The curriculum, online student learning platform, and access to support from the teacher and Code.org community are all provided free of charge. Calling all KC area students! Enter your design in the Greater Kansas City Science & Engineering Fair T-Shirt Design Contest! The winning design receives an Amazon Gift Card and is featured on the front of the fair t-shirt. Deadline for entries is 5pm on January 22. Please note: The contest is open to all K-12 Kansas City area students Designs must fit the theme 70 Years of Student Research Simple designs are strongly encouraged...
