November 3, 2020 General Election information due to the Covid running rapidly in the county: * 6 foot distancing will be in place at the polling locations. * There will be the regular 4 man booths set up but we will only be using 2 on each booth. * The election judges WILL NOT be scanning your ID. You will need to show them your ID and they will pull you up manually.... * Due to only a few booths being utilized, having to sanitize between voters and having to manually pull up voters, the process will be slower and we apologize for this, but we want to insure the safety of you the voter and the election judges. * Absentee voting will be open tomorrow, Saturday, October 31st from 8 am until noon. We will be voting everyone from their vehicle. So you will need to pull on the north side of the square and watch for someone to give you directions on what to do. * The last day to vote absentee will be on Monday, November 2nd from 8 am until 5 pm in the County Clerk's office. * Please be patient and courteous as we do our best to get through this election with the guidelines in place. As always, if you have any questions, contact our office at 660-956-9078 or Bree's cell at 660-341-7797.

Voting is your right. It's your responsibility to know the election day laws before you go to your polling location.
Today the Schuyler County Clerk's office got the opportunity to have our local homeschool co-op visit and participate in a Mock Election. They got to see how voting works. Each voter had their own id, got to sign their name on a poll book, received their ballot, got to go into the voting booth to select their choice of their favorite book, put their ballot into the machine. Each voter received a pen and an I Voted sticker. After they all voted, they got to see the process of closing out the voting machine and how the machine prints out the results. It was so much fun to host this wonderful group. A big thank you to our vendor Henry Adkins for preparing and donating the ballots for this Mock Election.
