Schools With Tools

Tough to drive big vehicles unless you try now and then. Especially pulling a trailer. Darcy gettin’ in some reps!!!

If I knew how to publish more photos on this page I would. I tend to put them on my regular facebook page. I guess I should put my learning where my mouth is and learn the computer "tool" just like any other. Once I do, I will publish more "Schools With Tools" in session photos.

School with Tools is building a curriculum. Please suggest some tools and skills that should be trained. The plan calls for mostly high school aged kids, but all ages can use some tool practice! Originally, I thought this "School" would be just to help my own kids learn some skills. Now, I see the school is needed to get folks some practice handling tools and understand household systems. Any advice??

As I have transitioned away from working in high school education over 26 years, I find myself still thinking about the next generation and what can be done to help them along. I believe the Schools With Tools concept may provide some hands on experience with tools and everyday chores which largely go untaught in our current culture. However, I find young people to be good workers and interested learners given the right circumstance. I hope Schools With Tools can grow into a real thing. It seems to me people are hungry for it! What do you think? Dave
