Mike, Emma, and I had fun watching the phone randomly select winners for the 13 giveaway gift certificates! There were so many sweet stories to read but my favorite one was by @melaniezclark about having a baby on the fourth at the hospital and a tornado came through that night! I will post her comment on stories so you can read it! So for her comment, she will receive a gift card for $25!... I will post the winners names later to stories but for now they are in the video! Happy Wednesday! Hint: Save your gift cards for Friday and Saturday! ~Betsy

It was a wonderful weekend to have fireworks with family & friends! The summer weather couldn't have been more perfect! We had a nice rain several days before so there was no fire ban and summer heat was just right! Here are some pictures around the house thanks to my niece Katelyn Rodabaugh! Mike watered all morning as well as smoked a turkey, a brisket, and a pork roast, made home made ice cream, made his delicious strawberry shortcake, made Succotash with his garde...n produce and shot the fireworks off with my brother Joe! Thanks to mom, Barbara Schaffitzel, my sisters Allison Cain and Shannon Reynolds, and friend Angie Carroll for coming over to help clean before the big day!!! Have a fabulous Tuesday! I'm headed to the shop at 1:30 today so Emma can help me with the drawing for the gift cards! TTYL today ~Betsy

These are the most common Plant Diseases! Check with Mike or Tony for the best advice on what to do! Note: Make sure you water everything on a regular watering schedule and it’s always best to feed your plants during this season. Watering takes the nutrients out of the soil so it’s great to add the vitamins back in! Keep your plants healthy and strong!

More pictures of Indoor and Outdoor Garden Pests to help you identify your garden pests! You won’t see the slugs during the day but you will if you take a flashlight out at night and inspect your leaves!

Well it’s that time of year where flowers are beautiful and the garden is in full swing! These next few posts are not going to be the pretty flowers but pictures of indoor & outdoor pests as well as non-insect pests! It’s time to identify what’s eating your plants and leaving those nice holes in your leaves! ... Inspect your leaves on top and bottom to see if you can identify the pest! If you can’t see anything in the daytime, Mike says to take out a flash light at night and shine it in the leaves! These pictures are all from my e-Mail Farmers Almanac! See if you solve the mystery! If you know what’s eating your plants, Mike can help you out!

We’re loving this gorgeous bouquet that Audry put together! It certainly reminds us of the New Year. Bouquets are a great hostess gift, holiday centerpieces, or just because gifts to send to a friend for the new year! Thanks Audry!

Our #CareTipTuesday is all about the Pilea Peperomioides! The Pilea is our feature this week, and Brooke is here to share some care tips with us. This is a low maintenance plant, and can thrive in the right conditions! Bright, indirect light (a sunny spot near a window will do!) Allow the first 2-3 of soil to dry between waterings Rotate your Pilea to help stimulate even growth... We often get asked about this plant, so we’re happy to answer questions beyond what we address in this video!

This week we’re featuring the pilea peperomioides! This fun plant has lots of nicknames, such as the Chinese Money Plant, the UFO plant , and Pancake Plant. Known for its lilypad like leaves, this plant is eye-catching and unique. Fairly easy to propagate and care for, cuttings and pups can be shared between friends, also giving it the name the Friendship Plant! We’re so excited for Brooke to share a little more about this adorable plant! Make sure to check in tomorrow for care tips.
