Last week, our team put the 'Sand' in Sandlot by traveling to Panama City, Florida for the grand opening of a new McDonald's location! While there, the Sandlot team was able to help execute the grand opening events, work remotely, and spend some quality time together all while consuming a ridiculous amount of seafood! A huge thank you to Johnstone Foods - McDonald's for letting us be a part of such a monumental occasion and celebration.

Taylor joined our team last month as our Senior Account Manager and is eager to build client relationships, collaborate with the creative team and streamline growth. Some interesting facts about Taylor you may not know:... 1. He is mildly terrified of house cats. 2. Once, he accidentally ate dinner with the Milwaukee Bucks owner. 3. When he was younger, he wanted to grow up to be a pirate. Despite abandoning his dreams of sailing the seven seas, we can’t wait to see all Taylor brings to the team! Happy #InternationalWomensDay! There are too many inspiring female role models to count, but we’ll start with our team. Here at Sandlot, over half of our staff is made up of women. Today and every day, we celebrate the influence these women have on our brand. To our female friends everywhere remember to take up space, advocate for yourself and other women, and never stop rising.

As Black History Month comes to a close, we wanted to highlight a few black-owned restaurants that are worthy of our support year-round. While there are hundreds of black-owned businesses in the food-service industry in KC area, we wanted to feature a few that are located near our office in the River Market. Meet Callie, Sandlot’s Social Media Intern! Callie’s done a remarkable job integrating into our team while working remotely. From writing social content for our clients to shadowing graphic design, she’s constantly eager to learn more. Callie’s currently a Junior at the University of Kansas. Although she grew up on a farm in Iowa, she says she was born to be in the city!

This past month, we welcomed Courtney to Sandlot as our Project + Operations Manager. From her bubbly personality to her close attention to detail, she’s a perfect fit for her new role at Sandlot! Plus, her secret talent is having the ability to quote every line from the series ‘Friends.’

Did you know that today is #NationalStickerDay? Our office is covered in Sandlot stickers that feature our mascot, Winston! Want to rock Winston on your laptop or water bottle, too? We will mail a custom Sandlot sticker to the first three people who DM us!

We have the privilege of working with McDonald’s Owner/Operators around the country. In addition to helping them engage their community, we help them build a positive culture. This begins with instilling the values of the company and operator in new employees. We worked with them to create a fun and compelling employee orientation video that distills their positive culture.

Car shows. In October, we planned a car show featuring over 45 different classic cars for our client, M&M Family McDonald's!
