I voted NO ON FRA. It passed anyways. It is ridiculous to wait until the final hour of the last day in our financial calendar fiscal year to vote on $8B or about 25 percent or Missouri’s annual budget which by the way starts tomorrow July 1. This legislation could and should have been debated and amended during our 5 month regular session without having to call a special session or suspend House rules. I support early forward looking budgets, thorough planning and review, and... lengthy discussion when a vote is authorizing uses for spending taxpayer dollars. Missouri small business owners and employed workers struggled to pay bills and earn a living in 2020. We must spend taxpayer dollars wisely in 2021 and 2022 as we ease the burden for Missourians. Thank you for the opportunity to serve in Jefferson City on June 30.

I spoke against and voted against the Missouri Gas tax increase this session. Joe Biden disapproves of a gas tax increase. FYI-The MO Legislature members media who voted for a gas tax including many republicans could be considered by the newstimes.com media according to this article to be more liberal than Joe Biden in terms of consumer gas tax policy.
