Sunday, June 27, is the fifth Sunday after Pentecost. Praise God for the showers of blessings He has bestowed upon each and every one of us. Scriptures for this week's service are II Corinthians 2:16-21, II Corinthians 5:16-21, and II Corinthians 13. Pastor Cobb's message is entitled "Postcards for Life: Examination & Restoration." You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised. You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you. Grant that... we may believe in you, call upon you, know you, and serve you, through you Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen Come, let us worship our God with joy and thanksgiving! Sunday, June 20, is the fourth Sunday after Pentecost. This Sunday is Father's Day. There will be a special gift for all the fathers in attendance. The scriptures for this Sunday are Psalm 127, Proverbs 23:15-25, and Judges 13. Pastor Cobb's message is "Examples of a Godly Father." Our Dad Anonymous... God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew his masterpiece was complete, And so, he called it Dad. Sunday, June 13, is the third Sunday after Pentecost. We have been blessed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Be sure to take a moment and find peace in God's beauty. Pastor Cobb's message this week is entitled, "Postcards for Life--Last Words, Lasting Legacy." The sermon text is 1 Corinthians 16:5-18. The scripture lessons for this week are 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-27. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my Soul! Lord, we will praise you as long as ...we live.
