Im sure we are all tired and feeling the effects of Fourth of July last night. . But just a friendly reminder to be. Yourself always. I am a very bubbly, loud, and outspoken person. Most people love me and others don’t. But, if I change to fit one mold than others wont like me so in reality you will never have EVERYONE like you. . instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ryno_resumes/... Grab some blank thank-you notes for each person you met on the job interview. Make sure they are simple and not filled with fancy designs or colors. You would be amazed at the responses hiring managers have when a well-written, thoughtful thank-you note was received in their mailbox. It’s typically the deciding factor between two capable candidates. A hand-written note shows you took the time to show you cared about them as a person and the position. In addition, make each ...person’s note a bit different and specialized to them. . You can’t say a lot in a thank-you note, but you will convey that you have good manners by sending it off, especially within a day or two of the job interview. . Once your first note is sent off, make sure you sit down with your trusted friend and review any questions or concerns you had about the job interview. They will be able to see things you didn’t; such as a specific person’s response or personality, or the fact that a person focused on a particular topic (which could relay an issue within the department or organization). After you have gathered information from your friend-discussion, send off a follow-up email to the hiring manager, discussing a specific concern (you will present it as an opportunity for improvement). . After this email has been sent, don’t fret. Put it off your mind. If the company truly wants you on their team, they will invite you back for a second interview. At that second job interview, salary and additional requirements will most likely be brought up. Know what you are worth and don’t settle if they aren’t ready to pay what a person with your talent commands. Move on and be happy you made it through! Interviews and responses to job interviews make you stronger and more confident of whom you are in the job market. Remember, companies want people who can do things on their own and bring together teams. Be that person be respectful and know your worth! . #leadership #entrepreneurship #management #careertips #trainer #careercoach #love #jobtips #resume #resumewriter #linkedin #linkedinupdate #mentor #jobsearch #specialoffer #goals #interviews #jobsearching #forbes #fun #resumebuilder #interviewtips See more

Whether your younger in your career or seasoned in your career, it is important to stay up with the ever changing world. Especially technology, medicine, and engineering. Many tools you used just a few years ago are probably no longer in use today. You are having to learn on the fly to keep up and it’s a true testament to the speed of the world we live in today. So how can you continually upgrade yourself? You must be willing to pay the price of learning skills over again. Yo...u have to be able and willing to put effort into learning new skills all the time. This takes time and money, which many people aren’t willing to continually put forth. You will stand out from the crowd if you take the time to show your employers you are going the extra mile to make sure that you stay relevant. If you want to make the process less painful, make learning new skills a habit. Do it all the time. Thanks to the internet, there are dozens and dozens of free resources on the internet that can teach you new skills. Often, these courses are extremely inexpensive, and occasionally you can even find a good course that is free. If you aren’t super tech savvy, and online courses are getting the better of you, then you can look into taking classes at a community college. They aren’t very expensive and you can even audit some classes instead of taking them for a letter grade. Don’t be outdone by the new kids on the block: you’ve worked hard to get to where you are. You deserve to stay. Show your employer your value by staying up-to-date on the newest skills. . Wake up and show up that’s all you need to do sometimes. I say some because we still need to put the work in too. If you want to hit those goals than let’s go! Just think this way if you sleep everyday and are late or you miss things (ie not showing up) how will you hit goals or grow? . As the owner of Ryno Resumes, people always ask how I got here, well this is my story. And it is not pretty, nor is it meant to make you sad. If you need a pick-me-up, this will do it. I promise you that. Most will never understand the abuse and struggles I dealt with as a child and how it has impacted my life as an adult. But I am better for it and I think it is important to share where I have come from and how I got here.

That one person may turn around and tell another and so forth that you might as well tell everyone. Ultimately telling people at work may circle back to your employer and risk that relationship. Never burn any bridges as they say. No matter how bad your situation may be with your current boss you should never speak ill of them. . The objective is to keep your current roles productivity up, missing work can negatively effect this. Schedule interviews before or after work or even during your lunch break. Take unused vacation days as well. . Don’t check out prematurely from your job. You want to show good work ethics and work at high standards. Although, this may be hard to do given circumstances but you want to preserve your reputation when you leave. Plus, remember who is signing your checks each week! -Kerr and Teach from Forbes It may find its way back to your current employer, and prospective employers may view your lack of discretion unfavorably, -Hockett from Forbes #careeradvice #jobsearchtips #linkedin #resume #resumewriter #quotes
