SOAR Meeting June 4, 2021

The next meeting of the Southern Ozark Alliance for Rural Development (SOAR) will be Friday, June 4, 2021 starting at noon at the Charles Ferguson Building in downtown Willow Springs. This meeting was originally scheduled for Friday, June 11th, but has been moved to accommodate our legislators. We are fortunate to have Representative David Evans, Senator Karla Eslinger and Representative Travis Smith in attendance at the meeting to provide a legislative wrap up and to answe...r any questions you may have. It should be an interesting meeting that you won't want to miss. I hope you can make it. Motion to Adjourn SOAR Long Term Goals First Goal: Establish STEM programs in all SOAR school districts. Second Goal: Establish new job opportunities in which to utilize STEM skills upon graduation (economic development). Third Goal: Increase communication and participation to help fulfill first two goals.

There will be no meeting of the Southern Ozarks Alliance for Rural Development tomorrow, May 14, 2021. The next meeting will be Friday, June 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferguson Building in downtown Willow Springs.

The next meeting of the Southern Ozark Alliance for Rural Development (SOAR) will be this Friday, April 16th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Charles Ferguson building in downtown Willow Springs. We are pleased to have present at the meeting State Board of Education member Mary Schrag, and State Representative David Evans to present educational and legislative updates from Jefferson City. I will try to stream the meeting if Facebook allows me to do that this month. We were able to Zoom several people into our SOAR meeting today but we were unable to stream the meeting because Facebook has our account restricted for some reason. Not sure what the issue is since we streamed the meeting in January of this year and many times before that. Hopefully we can get this part figured out before the next meeting. Thanks Facebook!
