Our small moment of French gardening at Evening Place Gardens

Let me introduce you to "Harry". He arrives tomorrow from England. We first met at the Hampton Court Garden Show during our visit to Great Britain. He is life size and weighs about 320 pounds. You might note he is a little green. He is wearing a coat of artificial turf. I have named him after Prince Harry and because of his texture. This is one of the most interesting "accessories" I have added to my collection. I believe strongly in the value of ACCESSORIES. They... are more than that stuff you sit around, the items friends give you you don't want but you leave it out not to offend. More than collections that got out of hand, the should be items that tell your story....... They give instant notice of who you are. Hence why they matter. If they don't, clear the deck, the table top, the shelves, the storage lock. My take on acquiring is the meaning objects have to remind you their story. They are like books stacked with pages of where, what and when. Just like books how you store them, display them; the story of you is revealed. In order, sorted by author, by subject, or random stacks caused by interest and last read; the formal order of control or the casual ramble of informality. Enough, say HI to Harry in the garden. It's the divine beginning of summer. Move it all outdoors, the dinning, the afternoon naps, reading and or movies by iPad. Outdoor fabrics are almost more intriguing than indoor selections. Weather-proof chandeliers sway in the breeze above your favorite china pattern. Enjoy the garden is the new house.

Its been ages, sorry, we are busy with new modern and contemporary projects. A little fact on contemporary interiors, Remember, LESS IS MORE - MORE MONEY. True as every little detail matters, not covering up with layers and extra details as in traditional spaces. Also your daily routines will need to be in an orderly form. Items out of place will become distracting. Also always remember the space you live in is your only sanctuary, it should nourish you. Latter, John
