Just keeping it real for all the folk who say to us oh I wish I had your job, hanging out with flowers all day! See the clock on the wall that’s AM on a crazy , cold , bitter night after we had fixed the problem and was returning home! Hahaha! ... I do love flower farming no question, hands down! Don’t ever get it twisted! One of the things I love most about farming is that’s it’s a continuing educational process!! I will never learn it all ,there is always something new! Did you know gas lines can freeze?!? I guess we didn’t learn the first night so the next night we had to practice the exact same lesson on a totally different house!! The city is in process of changing out the lines but that’s a process too! We are all good!! They say we have the technology with all the bells and whistle‘s that wake us at night to tell us something is wrong!! I question that?!? I want the bells and whistle‘s that realizes there’s a problem and fixes it without waking me up In the middle of a cold the night. That’s what I would call ALL the bells and whistles!! The other thing I really love about farming is being in the city!! The STL community is Amazing!! The response to our earlier post of needing back up heaters for the up coming bottomless pit of cold weather. Our ask was answered with in an hour with everything we needed and more!! And still more calling , texting, with more help!! I tried to delete the story!! This is what STL community look like!! Royale Mayors Candidate Closeup: Cara Spencer

The mayors primary election happens on March 2nd. We'll be hosting a closeup Q&A with each candidate that agrees to participate. On February 24th at noon we will host Tishaura O. Jones This will be live streamed here on Facebook and on our Youtube channel.

It is time to take a break! The Royale will be closing for at least three weeks starting this weekend. Our neighbors have been coming in to enjoy themselves in our open air outdoor courtyard since we reopened last summer and into the winter. While we have created a popular hospitable heated outdoor open air environment we have decided the timing is right for us to take a break. There are many benefits to taking a winter break for the staff to take on house projects, repairs a...nd drink/food development, so we plan on taking a winter break annually. Stay tuned for continuing developments as we will roll out open public hours again after this break! We are looking forward to reopening! (If you have purchased a fire club monthly pass you will be able to use it for the balance of this winter/spring season.)
