How we ring in the weekend some back story for you - the bell is originally from New York, dating back to 1848. We required a crane to add it to the Vantage rooftop, where it gets rung daily at sunset to celebrate and cheers to another amazing day in 417-Land.

Hotel Vandivort has named a new Chef de Cuisine! Chef John Cruz now heads up the culinary team at The Order and Vantage Rooftop Lounge. Cruz first joined the team several months ago after spending a year working on a cruise line touring Alaska. The majority of his culinary training was in Charlotte, North Carolina, studying classical French cuisine, Italian, Greek and Southern fine dining. Cruz credits The Asbury in The Dunhill Hotel for starting his culinary career, alongsid...e Chef Matthew Kranz and Chef Mike Long. Chef John has already been at work, updating The Order and Vantage menus, continuing to collaborate with local farms while providing upscale yet approachable dishes. A recently added menu favorite at The Order is the summer gnocchi dish with seasonal vegetables and house made gnocchi tossed in lemon-parsley butter with ricotta and Aleppo pepper. We hope you stop by soon to enjoy dinner at The Order and drinks with a view on the rooftop.
