Our firm would like to introduce you to our new associate Kim L. Rensing. Kim’s law practice began in the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office after graduating from Washington University School of Law. She grew up in Illinois where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois. After working for over eleven years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Kim went into the private practice of law which included civil litigati...on, criminal defense, family and juvenile law and appointments as Condemnation Commissioner. She also worked as a Guardian ad Litem for the St. Louis County Family Court. Then, after many years of being in the courtroom, she transitioned to the classroom to teach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, St. Louis University School of Professional Studies, St. Louis University School of Law and St. Charles Community College. Kim has served her communities in various capacities ranging from Webster Groves municipal boards and committees including the Historic Preservation Commission, the Early Childhood Community Advisory Board, the School District Strategic Planning Commission and the Citizen’s Advisory Board. In addition she served as committee member and leader for the local Cub Scout group participating in the Scouting for Food Drive, the annual Webster Groves 4th of July parade, Pinewood Derby and annual awards banquets. Kim has also volunteered as a dog walker for the APA of Missouri. Kim lives in Cedar Hill with her husband, Jim and their one son.

This week we highlight our associate Jason Emmons. Jason Emmons grew up in Herculaneum, MO and graduated from Herculaneum High School in 2004. After high school, Jason attended Harris Stowe State University in St. Louis, MO and received scholarships for baseball and theatre, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Criminal Justice. Jason then attended the University of Dayton School of Law for one year and transferred to St. Louis University... School of Law, graduating in May 2012. During his first summer of law school, Jason interned for an education law firm in St. Louis, MO. In his third year of law school, Jason participated in the St. Louis University Criminal Defense Clinic. Jason began his legal career as a trial attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender office in Jefferson City, MO April 2013 and transferred to Farmington, MO March 2017. Jason worked for the Missouri State Public Defender office for over 5 years and has tried numerous criminal jury trials. Jason is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri and has been a member of the Missouri Bar since September 2012.
